Open Source Intelligence (OS Int) is a relationship between intelligence methods and open source information which can be adopted by the private sector. Intelligence methods include requirements definition, collection management, source discovery and validation, multi-source fusion, timely presentation, evaluation, feedback and new requirements and security. Open source information is acquired from the internet, commercial online services, gray literature, subject matter experts, and commercial geospatial information. OS Int has proven itself in government agencies as well as the military and it can easily be applied to the private sector. OS Int will contribute valuable insights to the organization’s strategy, contribute to the bottom line and improve performance.
